DECHLOR can be used for the de-chlorination of waste waters with the removal of excess chlorine after chlorination of water systems and cooling towers.
Can be dosed directly into the water to be treated. Typically used in conjunction with our FEEDCHLOR chlorine based product.
Suitable for
Potable water
Cooling water
Effluent water.
Dosage Calculation
For every m3 of water use 11ml of Dechlor per 1ppm of Chlorine.
How to use it
DECHLORINATION OF TANKS
Where it is necessary to remove the excess chlorine from a volume of water prior to discharge to sewer, this can be achieved using DECHLOR
The DECHLOR should be added at the rate of 11ml per ppm of Chlorine per m3 of water.
Example To remove 30 ppm of free residual chlorine in a 80m3 tank requires:-
11(ml) x 30(ppm) x 80(m3)
= 26,400 ml or
= 26.4 litres of DECHLOR
N.B. It is important not to over dechlorinate since this will absorb any free chlorine residual in the incoming main.
