Pick & Mix Water Chemistry Testing
The purpose of this chemical analysis package is to give you the option of building your own water chemistry analysis package, full sample kit is sent out to you for filling it includes a prepaid return packet with full results emailed to you upon completion.
If you are looking to have analysis done to understand the suitability of the water for drinking then you can find the Water Quality regulation for 2010 set out on the Drinking Water Inspectorate website here: DWI Limits (p95 onwards).
If you are looking to discharge potentially contaminated water to drain you will need to speak to your local utilities first for their limits, if you are looking to discharge contaminated water to surface or groundwater you may require a permit, details can be found on the gov.uk website here.

We operate a minimum order value of £105 on this analysis which will typically mean you need to pick three parameters.
If you choose multiple chemical analysis they will be considered as one single analysis unless you specify otherwise. – Please do this at checkout with a ‘message to seller’.
Picking two of the same analysis will of course be treated as two different samples.
We require 1l of sample water to perform the test, if you know you can only get a smaller amount please contact us first to see if we can perform the analysis on a smaller sample volume.
Sample point should be flushed prior to taking sample to ensure fresh system water is taken.
Sample pack contains:
- 1x 1l sample bottle
- 1x return jiffy bag and pre-paid return label
- 1x Analysis sticker to be filled in
Lead Time: Up to 12 working days
If results are needed urgently then you can choose the expedited lab turn-around from the list which will mean a turn around time of 4-5 days.
