Chlorine can be an effective method of water disinfection for a multitude of applications such as swimming pool, Spa and Jacuzzi disinfection to the treatment of potable (drinking) and in the disinfection of cold water storage tanks and some cooling systems.
Where the removal of chlorine is needed from the water (for example if there is a chlorine excess or chlorination is only a pre or post clean disinfection requirement) then use of a de-chlorination product is required. For this Feedwater produce Dechlor a simple chemical intended to de-chlorinate water by dosing directly into the water itself; but should not be introduced directly to any chlorine products neat.
Alternatives to chlorine sold by Feedwater include wide spectrum biocides and our patented in solution 2 part chlorine dioxide products which provide superior disinfection of chlorine resistant bacteria and biofilm which are no match to the oxidising power of chlorine dioxide.
