Bromgard Video
We have recently finished the creation of a new video which explains the Bromgard chemistry for complete cooling tower treatment.
Bromgard is a 2 part chemistry the first part of which combines a scale & corrosion inhibitor, dispersant and Bromide – a Bromine pre-cursor. Once dosed into the system the second part of the chemistry, an Activator is added to convert the Bromide within the system into a powerful Bromine biocide.
The video helps to explain the chemistry involved with the use of 3D animation as a visual guide for the scale inhibitor, corrosion inhibitor and the biocidal action of the Bromine and dispersant action on biofilm. Bromgard is also an excellent treatment to control Legionella in cooling tower systems.
The range of Bromgard inhibitors are chosen based on the water chemistry in the system being treated to ensure effective control.
Bromgard chemistry is suitable for dosing with a range of water treatment controllers, such as LTH, Prominent and Walchem. Feedwater also manufacturers the Coolplex cooling tower treatment control system which combines a controller with conductivity, redox probes and dosing pumps.
