Swimming Pool / Spa Microbial Water Analysis

£75.00£122.00 exc. VAT

Swimming Pools and Spas can cause outbreaks of infection such as eye and ear infection and gastroenteritis. Spas have also been shown to cause serious, potentially fatal Legionnaires’ disease. For these reasons swimming pool analysis is required for public pools and recommended by Feedwater for private pools.

Parameters included for Swimming Pool and Spa testing analysis are set out in the product description below.

Spa pools require an additional Legionella water test every quarter as well as risk assessments and a comprehensive control program. Speak to us about risk assessments and pool treatments.

Potable/Drinking Water Metals (Inc Heavy) Analysis

£125.00 exc. VAT

This analysis is suitable for those who would like their drinking (potable) water to be tested for heavy metals as a basic check against regulatory limits. This analysis is suitable as an indication when measured against DWI guidelines but cannot act as a certification that the water is safe to drink.

Metals being tested for:

  • Lead
  • Boron
  • Chromium
  • Mercury
  • Arsenic
  • Cadmium
  • Copper
  • Antimony
  • Nickel
  • Selenium
  • Aluminium
  • Manganese
  • Iron
  • Sodium
  • Calcium

For a wider water screen for chemical analysis or hygiene you may want to add chemical potability and microbial potability.

Uses of analysis to identify:

  • Possible cause of scale or corrosion including galvanic
  • Possible cause of taste issues
  • Possible cause of staining or discolouration
  • Cause of ‘eggy smell’ in water
  • Common toxins

Lead Time: Up to 12 working days

For a wider water screen for toxicity or hygiene reasons you may want to add potable metals and microbial potability.

Water leak source investigation Analysis

£435.00£550.00 exc. VAT

Chemical analysis:

Ammoniacal Nitrogen
Aluminium
Alkalinity
Boron
Chemical Oxygen Demand
Conductivity
Chlorine
Chloride
Copper
Fluoride

Iron
Manganese
Molybdenum
Nitrate
Nitrite
pH
Phosphate
Potassium
Sodium
Silicate
Sulphate
Total Organic Carbon

Micro analysis:

Coliform Bacteria
E. Coli Bacteria
Enterococci
Colony Count 22oC (TVC)
Colony Count 37oC (TVC)

  • Expert Advice & Interpretation
  • UKAS accredited micro results (Overly dirty water may prevent us from using the UKAS process, results, in that case, will be non-UKAS)
  • Confidential results & report

For this analysis we require at least two samples, one from the leak water the second from a reference sample from a likely source such as mains or a stream etc. This allows us to compare the two and work out if they match or if the leak sample is different, if different we can investigate to identify the likely source from the chemistry. If you would like to provide the leak + 2 reference samples from different sources you suspect this can assist analysis further.

We require a full 1l & 250ml sample bottle from each source to be able to perform this test. Refunds will not be offered where minimum sample requirements are not met.

Chemical analysis can take up to 12 days and micro results 3 days.

Alternatively, we have a simpler comparison analysis package available here
